GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE
We can all see the devastations caused by Global Climatic Change on our “bewitching looking Earth”. We as a whole should seize this moment so that the process towards eradicating this global epidemic is rapid and uninterrupted . This is the time to intensify our struggle to bring about a positive change by making a better world for our future generations to savor and cherish it.
Climate change has resulted in the melting of glaciers , rising of sea level , depletion of the Ozone layer in Ozonosphere and has affected us in several ways like paving the way for global warming , resulting in loss of freshwater , fertile soils for crops , submergence of places in the coastal plains and many more.
We as responsible citizens of the Earth should be compassionate towards nature and our society in order to bring about a transformation. We should use renewable sources of energy like Solar energy , Wind Energy , Biomass , etc. which are abundant in nature over non-renewable sources of energy like coal , petroleum , charcoal which are meagre in amount and also detrimental to our society and nature.
“If we can , we will” – We have several ways in which we can provide support and we should in any way possible.
Ways to help:-
Ø Do not waste electricity-
Always switch off lights in your house or an electric iron , geyser or any other electrical devices which has been left on . With this you will not only help the society but will also save money .
Ø Use renewable sources of energy-
If it is possible , buy solar panels and make that as an alternative to your electricity at homes or use a emission efficient vehicle using solar energy . Use these sources of energy in any way possible today.
Ø Plant trees , saplings , plants or use artificial propagation-
This is the most important way of reducing global warming which is the major contributor of climate change. This will increase greenery and oxygen and reduce the emission of carbon dioxide. Using artificial propagation can also help in the formation of several plants in a short period of time which too will prove to be beneficial towards the society.
Ø Reduce the burning of fossil fuels in industries/factories-
The major reason of the sudden hike in the concentration of carbon dioxide is burning of fossil fuels in the industries . We must understand that we reside in the world which we are polluting today and if we do not stop this , this climate change will result in a catastrophe which generations to come will never forgive. Plant trees around your factory so that the carbon dioxide released can be absorbed by these trees and provide oxygen in return.
Ø Spread awareness about Climate Change-
This is already in action but if we can help the society , we must do the needful. This will arose a sense of duty inside citizens that they cannot stop or relax their movements if there is a problem looming on the horizon.
Statistical data showing the impact of the Global climate change:-
In 2020, the earth’s surface temperature was around 0.98 Celsius degrees warmer than the 20th century average. In the last few years, global temperatures have been consistently among the hottest on record. The global anomaly in surface temperature might be the cause of an increase in sea level, a decrease in arctic ice and the growing number of weather-related catastrophes, including storms, floods and droughts.

We as citizens must not be reluctant towards helping society . We must always have a far-sighted vision which is for the greater good. There are millions of citizens who stand at the border all day long in harsh conditions so that we can sleep at night peacefully without any apprehension or disturbance and hence we also as fellow citizens should bring a change world-wide by following the ways in which we can eradicate Global climate change .
I would like to quote a line which was quoted by an eminent person :-
“We are the first generation to be able to end poverty, and the last generation that can take steps to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
Future generations will judge us harshly if we fail to uphold our moral and historical responsibilities.”
